Leader demands streaming service dismiss board member over political remarks

The nation’s leader has reportedly demanded that a major streaming entertainment platform immediately dismiss a prominent board member or face unspecified “consequences,” according to sources familiar with the matter.

The executive’s ultimatum came after the board member, a former diplomat who previously served as the country’s representative to an international body, made pointed remarks during a podcast interview with a former federal prosecutor. The comments allegedly warned corporations against capitulating to pressure from the conservative faction in the legislature.

“This is not going to be an instance of forgive and forget. The damage that these people are doing is too severe to the [nation’s] people and our national interest,” the former official reportedly stated during the broadcast.

We’ll forgive you for all the people you fired, all the policies and principles you’ve violated,’” the board member allegedly continued, “I think they’ve got another thing coming.”

She also pointed to declining public approval for the current administration’s economic and immigration policies in making her case.
